July 2022
  • His Excellency Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury, former Under-Secretary-General and High Representative of the United Nations has joined the Board of Patrons of the World Sustainability Forum. (See Press Release) The Founder of the The Global Movement for The Culture of Peace, Ambassador Chowdhury is a champion for sustainable peace and development. 
April 2022
  • Her Excellency Ambassador María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, former President of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly (2018 - 2019) joined the Board of Patrons of the Forum. (See Press Release). Ms Espinosa is presently the Richard von Weizsäcker Fellow at the Robert Bosch Academy, an institution hosting her work on global governance and multilateralism. (See Press Release)
November 2021
  • The Right Honourable Kim Campbell former Prime Minister of Canada joined the Board of Patrons of the Forum. Ms Campball is a founding member of the Club of Madrid. After serving as Acting President (2002), Secretary General (2004-2006) Vice President and a member of the Board (2007-2011) she returned to the Board in 2019. (See Press Release). 
February 2021
  • ​Cavalieri Roberto Savio has joined the Forum's Board of Patrons. Knighted in 2021 by Italian President Sergio Mattarella, Roberto Savio is a world renown journalist, communication expert, political commentator, activist for social and climate justice as well as an advocate of global governance. He has spent most of his career with Inter Press Service (IPS), the news agency which he co-founded.
        Sig. Savio serves in advisory roles to among others: the Director General of the International Labour Organization; to the Executive Director of the World Food Programme; he is Deputy Director of the Scientific Council of the New Policy Forum; is responsible for international relations of the European Centre for Peace and Development; is a member of the Executive Committee for Fondazione Italiani; and a member of the Maurice Strong Sustainability Award Selection Panel. He shall provide strategic guidance and advance the Forum's communications and media strategy.
  • The Forum is delighted to announce that Her Excellency Dr A. Gurib-Fakim, former President of Mautarius has joined the Board of Patrons. In 2016, Her Excellency was in the Forbes List for the 100 ‘Most Powerful women in the world’ and 1st among the Top 100 Women in Africa Forbes List 2017. A global thinker, she shall help to provide strategic guidance to the Forum's development and represent the Forum in high-profile summit meetings.

  • The World Academy of Art and Science and the World Sustainability Forum announce a partnership to promote and advance cooperative as well as collaborative initiatives focused on the accelerating a just and prosperous transformation to sustainable development through the advancement of: science-based policy advocacy, international multilateralism, global governance, educational and scientific research and training activities of mutual interest of the Parties.
